La cité Ponote
To come to Velay is to discover a territory of great natural spaces, unique heritage sites such as the mythical monuments of the city : Cathedral, old Puy Mont Aiguille, Mon Saint-Michel. But above all, it is a city full of events throughout the year: the light show, the land of the giant, the king of the bird. A short stop at the Verveine du Velay distillery?
New: the himalayan walkway of Lapte, 20 minutes from the Hob, is the longest walkway in France. You don't need to be afraid of heights. Walkers and cyclists can cross the Lignon gorges by taking this suspended passage: 268 metres between the two banks, 63 metres above the ground to link Saint-Maurice de Lignon and Grazac.
Le Mont Mézenc
A mountain peak of volcanic origin, Mont Mézenc is on the border of the Haute-Loire and the Ardèche. An opportunity to discover these exceptional landscapes and 360° views during hikes accessible to all. It is one of the must-sees of your stay, the highest peak in both departments. The Mézenc is also a concentrate of what makes the identity of this territory so endearing. All around you, an abundant and colourful flora offering, from spring to autumn, a spectacle that is never the same. Under your feet, the phonolite, a rock that covers the roofs of many houses in the surrounding villages and which is there to remind you that the Mézenc is above all a volcano.

All this on an equipped and secure greenway to discover 2 departments over 120 km of total freedom. In the heart of different landscapes of volcanoes, forests, mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes...

Welcome to the Montfaucon region! To all sports lovers, you are served! You are currently close to 2 national parks: the Pilat park and the Monts d’Ardèche park. But also, come and discover the Via Fluvia: a 200km cycle route, which allows you to discover numerous villages and even join the Via Rhôna.
For those who are looking for relaxation, you are also in the right place. From the Hob’s terrace you can admire the Ardèche highlands, but above all you can access the Hob’s entire relaxation area. For those who are fond of new experiences, go to the Mirandou garden in Montfaucon en Velay, which offers a surprising and relaxing barefoot path.
