Nestling in the heart the Allier in Auvergne, Bourbon l’Archambault is a small spa town that has been famous since Roman times. In fact, this spa was home to the Celts and was taken over by the Romans, who built these incredible thermal baths. The medieval town of Bourbon l’Archambault became the cradle of the kings of France, and for several centuries now has been home to renowned thermal waters that provide an overall sense of well-being. The waters were soon frequented by many historical figures, including the Princess de Conti, Madame de Montespan and Madame de SĂ©vignĂ© in the 17th century.
