The Domaine des 3 Vallées opens its slopes on Saturday, November 21, 2026. Hob Orelle, on the other hand, welcomes you starting Friday, the 20th. Guaranteed first tracks, budget-friendly: welcome to our DODOS.
What is DODO?
A DODO is our Hob-style dorm. Not a cold, impersonal dorm. A real cocoon, designed to help you sleep well after a day on the slopes.
Two possible options:
- The shared DODO bed. You reserve your bed and share the space with other skiers. Ideal for solo travelers, couples, or those on a budget.
- The privatized DODO. You book the entire dorm for your group: family, friends, club, or coworkers. Everyone stays together, with no strangers.
The idea is simple. Enjoy the mountains to the fullest, all while staying within your budget.

Hob Orelle is 50 meters from the gondola. Boots on, skis on your shoulders, and off you go.
From Orelle, you can reach the world’s largest ski area: Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Méribel, and Courchevel. Hundreds of kilometers of slopes, without the high prices of the major resorts.
Orelle is the gateway to the 3 Vallées on the Maurienne side. It’s quiet, authentic, and far from the hustle and bustle. You ski the same runs as in Val Thorens, but you stay in a mountain village.

Can you reserve a DODO dormitory exclusively for your family or friends?
Yes. The privatized DODO can be reserved for your group (6 people per DODO). You’ll be on your own, with no other travelers.
Is Hob Orelle at the base of the slopes?
Yes. The gondola is 50 meters away. It provides access to the 3 Vallées: Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Méribel, and Courchevel.
When will the 3 Vallées ski area open in 2026?
The slopes open on Saturday, November 21, 2026. Le Hob Orelle welcomes you starting Friday, November 20.
