A team dedicated to delighting you

At Hob Fort du Pré, Head Chef Mélissa works alongside her team, including her sous chef, Kenzo.

After arriving in February, this self-taught chef found her calling in the kitchen following a career change.

What does she love most of all? Creating moments of pleasure and togetherness around the table. It’s a passion she inherited from her family—especially her mother, who instilled in her a love for quality ingredients and good food.

On her plates, our chef Mélissa serves up simple, hearty, and flavorful dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and a strong emphasis on local produce. Whether it’s fruit, vegetables, or poultry, she sources from producers in Haute-Loire and Ardèche whenever possible.

Her must-have kitchen staple? A good oil flavored with mint or cilantro, which adds that extra touch of flavor to a dish.

And what does she like best? Surprising you—especially by reimagining certain foods to help you learn to appreciate… the ones you thought you didn’t like. 😉

Welcome to Hob'Bar

On the bar side, the Hob is a lively place open to travelers and locals alike. You’ll enjoy a selection of wines to suit all budgets, cocktails, craft beers and local produce to share, in a convivial lounge atmosphere.

The HOB Fort du Pré also boasts a large terrace, games, themed evenings and fun at any time of day.

    Mushroom Festival 🍄 Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid is celebrating its must-see Mushroom Festival! A farmers’ market, local producers and artisans, a mycology exhibition, cooking demonstrations, and tastings will fill the weekend. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the festival during your stay at Hob Fort du Pré.

    Gourmet Fall Challenge 🍂 Enjoy a meal at Hob Fort du Pré and take part in the Gourmet Challenge! Get your card stamped at two different participating restaurants, then turn in your entry form for a chance to win a meal at one of the participating restaurants.
