Lagny-sur-Marne is a medieval town, a shopping center and a city of the arts, all rolled into one. Stroll along its narrow streets and quays, and let yourself be carried away by its history, from its birth around 650 to the present day. From churches to small heritage sites, cross several centuries of history.

seine et marne 77 Rentilly

A restored castle

When it opened in late 2014, Télérama headlined: "Xavier Veilhan gives Château de Rentilly a makeover". "Walls clad in stainless steel, openings lined with one-way glass, and voilà, the sky and park are reflected on the old château turned art center."

Indeed, this stunning architecture is sure to dazzle you with its mirror-like façade. More than a simple restoration, Xavier Veilhan's work, in collaboration with architects Bona and Lemercier and scenographer Alexis Bertrand, is a landscape immersion of the château in the park.

Inside, two 500-square-meter exhibition floors host a variety of exhibitions throughout the year.

In this park, you can discover the Turkish baths, the Orangerie, a resource center, and cultural events...
